Personal Note from Director Dalrymple:
“I am married to my high school sweetheart, a dynamic, talented, and successful Bengali Canadian woman who was born in Kolkata. This personal connection to India and Bengali culture has been deeply enriching. Family visits to Kolkata and other parts of India have provided memories and experiences that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
One such profound experience was my visit to Piyali Junction to visit the PACE Learning Centre, generously facilitated by PACE Director/PLC President Mr. Jayanta Chatterji. As someone living abroad, it is always hard to know just where your donation dollars really go when you donate to big, multinational charities. To see the profound impact that PACE makes first-hand was special. I left the school feeling deep respect for what has been built there and so impressed by just how strategic the organization is in tackling the profound hardships of the people in that community!
The strategic partnership between PACE and the Rotary Club of Calcutta Metropolitan (Rotary world as a hole) has created a model that has exciting potential the world over! But beyond that, what it's doing now for girls in this one community is exceptional, essential, and wonderful. I know that my wife feels a deep connection to the work too and we are both pleased to support the project financially.
Serving this special organization as a Director it would be an honour for me!”
